This masonry top of wall detail shows a metal coping held in place with a continuous cleat. the coping slopes to the roof to shed water. the roof structure bears on a bond beam; part of the loadbearing masonry system. the wall has a 24mm clear air space for drainage and weep vents are spaced at 600mm o.c. there is an air/moisture/vapour barrier on the cavity side of the cmu; and 50mm rigid insulation resides in the drainage cavity
